After impressing fans and fashionistas with her Armani, Gucci and Elie Saab gowns, actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan wore a sari for the very first time on the Cannes red carpet.
On Monday, with hubby Abhishek Bachchan by her side, the actress attended the premiere of Outrage in a green embellished Sabyasachi sari with a thick border. Tweeting about their Cannes outing, Abhishek posted, “Ahh Cannes!!!! And now tomorrow onto Raavan and 10 heads. It’s a beautiful day in Cannes. Perfect for introducing the rest of the world to Raavan!”
He also tweeted that filmmaker Mani Ratnam, filmmaker and music composer AR Rahman couldn’t make it because they were putting “finishing touches” to their film.
